Eitje does not offer a specific functionality to keep track of gratuities and distribute them. We have noticed that some data can help our users to decide how to distribute the tips. Many have used it to make sure the tips are correctly distributed among staff. Maybe this could help you too!
➡️ Also learn all about 'Custom-made exports'. The options are endless! Below we will explain two options that are mostly used for distributing tips.
Overview of total hours for a longer period of time
You could export overviews of the total number of hours per team member for a specific period of time, for example for 6 months or an entire year. This information can be used to base the distribution of tips on.
Ready-Made Export
The quickest and easiest way. This file will instantly give you the total amount of registered hours per team member. Up to you to decide on the timespan you need this data for:
Go to 'Data' in the main menu and choose 'Ready-made exports'.
Under 'Time registration', choose 'Quick entry'.
Now you can enter a start and an end date to determine the period of time you want the total hours for.
Check the other fields, then click 'Create your own export'.
You will be able to download the file in the top right corner, under 'Notifications'.
This file will show you the total of registered hours, but also specifically the total number of worked hours, leave, and sickness.
Custom-made export
A custom-made export needs to be set up manually first. This will only be done once: the setup will be saved and can be re-used at any time for different periods of time in the future. So, it is a bit more work the first time, but you can decide yourself exactly what data you want to have in the file.
Go to 'Data' in the main menu and choose 'Custom-made exports'.
Use the blue button '+New table' (top right).
When asked 'What do you want to export', pick 'Team members'.
Now, on the left you can make a selection of data you want to export. You can use the search bar for example, to search for 'Hours':
Select 'Total hours' if you want to see the total number of all registered hours, including leave and sickness.
If you only need to know the total number of worked hours, select 'Total worked hours'.
Click 'Next' in the bottom right corner to continue, and follow further instructions. You will select for which team or venue you need the data, and you'll need to give your file a name. Click 'Next' one last time.
Now, on the top, you should see a blue button 'Export'. In the small pop-up you can switch from 'Period' to 'Date' to enter dates manually.
Click 'Export' and you will be able to download the file in the top right corner under 'Notifications'.
As you have given this export a name, you can find it back at any time under 'Data - Custom-made exports'. This allows you to export exactly the same data in the future for different periods of time, so you never have to set up this export from scratch again.
