Activate training

You can onboard your team members easier by activating a training. Read more about it here.

Updated this week

The handbook is also useful for training new team members in the business. You can test your team members' knowledge on a specific theme through trainings. You can also create an onboarding process and test different themes. Team members will then receive new parts of the training at specific times in their app.

Additionally, you can see which team members have completed a training and what their responses were to any quiz questions in the themes.

Activate training for a theme

You can create a training per theme.

  1. At the top, navigate to 'Knowledge' > Handbook.

  2. Open the theme for which you want to activate a training.

  3. Navigate to the control center on the bottom left, and click 'Setup' (or 'Edit' if already activated).

  4. In the window that opens, activate the training with the toggle:

  5. When the training has been activated, a question appears about when the training should become available to team members. There are 3 options:

    1. 'Always': No end date. This training can be followed at any time by the team members who have access to the theme.

    2. 'If a team member is employed for X days': Decide after how many days this team member should follow this training. On that day, the training will be prompted. This can be useful feature when setting up an onboarding plan. (You can find the start date under 'Team' in the main menu, in the column 'in service since'.)

    3. Theme is trainable until a specific date: Select a date until which team members can follow this training.

  6. Click 'Save'.

In the left top corner, you also see the option 'Theme'. Here you find the settings for the theme. Read more about it in this article: Create theme.

💡 Tip: Want a specific team member to take or repeat a training? You can 'push' a training to specific team members. Click on the plus icon in the control center and select a team member.

Test run for training

If your training is ready, but you want to see what it looks like, you can do a test run. This way, you can view the training as it will appear to team members.

  1. Navigate to 'Knowledge' > Handbook.

  2. Select the theme you want to do a test run for.

  3. Click 'Test run' in the control center in the bottom left of the screen.

  4. Now you can view the theme. Navigate to the next article or quiz question by clicking 'Next' in the top right corner, or click 'Leave example' to exit the test run.

Create onboarding plan

You can also present multiple themes to your team members through an onboarding process. For each theme, you choose when they will be introduced to the theme in the app. This prevents them from being overwhelmed with too much information on their first day of work.

➡️ Example:

On day 1, they receive the theme 'Your First Day' in the app.

On day 3, they receive the theme about house rules.

On day 5, they receive the theme about company information.

Check results

Once you've created a training, it's interesting to see the results. Go to the relevant theme and click 'Analytics' in the Training Control Centre at the bottom.

Here, you first find an overview of the results. For example, who has started the training, and who has completed the training. You can find the names under the red question mark.

When selecting a specific team member on the left, you will find more detailed information of the results. When the training has been completed, a grade (rating) will be shown.
