Why am I unable to reset my password?

Read this article if you have any issues with your password.

If you forgot your password, you can request a password reset email via the following link. If this is unsuccessful, read this article for tips to help you.


Request new password

On Eitje's login screen, click 'Forgot password'. You will receive an e-mail with a blue 'Reset' button. Clicking this button will open your browser and allow you to set a new password.

If you don't immediately get that option, click 'Log out', close your browser, and click the 'Reset' button in the email again.

πŸ’‘ If this does not work, try copying the link behind the 'Reset' button in the email (right-click on the button). Then paste this link into an incognito/private browser window.

Change password while logged in

In case you are still logged in on either the app or web version, you can change your password in your personal settings:

  • In the app: Open the menu in the bottom right corner (three dots). Scroll to 'Settings' and choose 'Change password'.

  • Web version: Navigate to the menu in the top right corner and go to 'Personal settings'. Here you can choose 'Change password.

This is very useful when you've been logged out of the app but you're still logged in on a browser, or vice versa.

Notification 'token invalid'

If you have requested the email to reset your password more than once, you may see the message β€˜token is invalid’ when trying to create a new password.

It’s best to wait for the latest email. Every time you request a new email, the link in the previous email will become invalid.

If you are not 100% sure how many times you requested the email, wait a few minutes and use the most recent email you received.

⚠️ Note: The password is case-sensitive, so keep this in mind when resetting it.
