Clock in using our clocking system

This article explains how to clock in using Eitje's clocking system.

The clocking system is called 'Eitje op de vloer', but in English we will stick to simply calling it the clocking system. As soon as the clocking system is activated, your team can start clocking in and out. This can be done in two different ways, depending on how the system was set up in your account:

  1. Use a dedicated device on location. With their personal Time Clock PIN team members can clock in on the device.

  2. Have team members use their own phone when connected to WiFi. They can use the regular Eitje app as long as they are close enough to the location to be connected to the WiFi.

Admins and Managers can find the codes of their team members in each team member's profile, or in the team member overview in the column 'Time Clock PIN' (might need to be activated by using the 'Columns' button).

Clocking in is very simple. On the tablet or computer, team members enter their personal PIN.

Then, they either choose 'Clock in' or 'Clock out':

If the settings allow, when clocking out, team members can indicate how much break time they had, and if they had a meal.

As soon as this is set up, team members can use the regular Eitje app on their own phone to clock in and out. This can be done on multiple locations in the app:

  • 'My shifts':

    • When you have a scheduled shift, this shift will show a 'Clock in' option on the day.

    • In the top right corner, you will see a blue clock icon. This is another way to clock in, also when you do not have a scheduled shift.

  • Use the menu in the bottom right (three dots). On top of the screen you will find the option 'Clock in now'.

Clocking in and out is very easy:

  1. Tap the 'Clock in' option.

If you have a scheduled shift right now, the system knows the team you'll be working in, and you can start your shift right away.
If you are not on the schedule today, you will have to select the team first.

  2. Where you just had the option to clock in, you will now find the option to clock out.

  3. Then choose 'End shift'.

If the settings allow, when clocking out, team members can indicate how much break time they had, and if they had a meal.
