Edit time entries

In this article you learn how to edit multiple time entries at once.

You can easily edit time entries in the time registration screen. Simply click a time entry to open it. In the edit window, make the required changes and click 'Approve'.

Need to edit multiple time entries? For example, you might want to change several entries to Sick Leave, add breaks, or add comments. Fortunately, you can update multiple time entries at once.

Follow these steps to edit multiple time entries:

  1. Click 'Tools' on the right.

  2. Click 'Edit multiple time entries'.

  3. Select the time entries you want to edit:

    • You can select all time entries for a team member by ticking the checkbox next to their name,

    • or select all shifts for a day or week by ticking the checkbox on the day or week number.

  4. Use the blue button that appears at the bottom of your screen, and click 'Edit':

  5. Choose whether you want to edit a field or clear it.

  6. Select the relevant field and add the new information if needed.

  7. Click 'Save'.

The following fields can be edited:

  • Team member

  • Team

  • Type

  • Start time

  • End time

  • Break duration

  • Note

  • Meal allowance

  • Allowance

The following fields can be cleared:

  • Break duration

  • Note

  • Meal allowance

  • Allowance

Follow these steps to edit multiple time entries:

  1. Select the time entries you want to edit:

    • If you tick the checkbox at the top of the left column, all time entries will be selected.

    • Did you group the data? If so, tick the checkbox next to a group to select all time entries within that group.

    • You can also select individual times entries one by one.

  2. Use the blue button that appears at the bottom of your screen, and click 'Edit':

  3. Choose whether you want to edit a field or clear it.

  4. Select the relevant field and add the new information if needed.

  5. Click 'Save'.

The following fields can be edited:

  • Team member

  • Team

  • Type

  • Start time

  • End time

  • Break duration

  • Note

  • Meal allowance

  • Allowance

The following fields can be cleared:

  • Break duration

  • Note

  • Meal allowance

  • Allowance


Changelog

When you open an hour entry, you will find a changelog on the bottom of the window. It shows what was changed, when it happened, and who made the change.

This information is only available for existing hour entries. If an entry has been deleted, the information is no longer available.
