This article talks about creating, handling and resetting leave requests on the web version. Team members who are 'Admin' or have the role 'Approve leave requests' can also create requests on behalf of other team members. This option is only available when the time registration is activated.

Create a leave request
You can easily create a request for time off, also for other people. Navigate to 'Leave' under 'Planning'.
In the main menu on top, you find 'Leave' under 'Planning'.
Navigate to 'Tools' in the upper right corner, then choose 'Create request'.
Add the relevant information and click 'Save'.
Pending leave requests
When a team member has requested time off, you can find the request in two locations in Eitje:
Leave requests in 'Tasks'
Go to 'Tasks' in the top right corner of Eitje. Here you can find the leave requests that are still pending.
Full overview in 'Leave'
Go to 'Planning', then 'Leave'. On this page you will find a full overview of leave requests, including the ones that have been approved or declined, both in the future and in the past.
Process a leave request
A new leave request will have status 'pending'. An 'Admin' or someone with the role 'Approve leave requests' will have to check the number of hours before approving the request, or they can choose to decline the request.
You find the following information in a leave request (depending on the contract type):
Amount of leave hours to take: Here you can enter the number of hours you want to allocate to this leave request. Eitje does a suggestion for people with a fixed-hours contract based on their workweek in the contract.
⚠️ Note: Specifically when leave balance is tracked, you will always have to check this, or get to an agreement before approving, as these hours will be taken from their leave balance.Contract hours: The 40 hours in the example are based on the data from the fixed-hours contract of this team member. By hovering over the contract hours, you can see the workweek of this team member to understand how the system got to that number of hours. This will help you determine the number of hours of leave to apply to this request.
Message for team member: You can leave a note for the team member here.
Extra information regarding leave balance: In case this affects the leave balance, it is convenient to know how many leave hours someone has left, and will be accruing.
Edit the request: If you want to edit the request, you can do it here.
Team members with leave: You can see which team members also requested leave in this period.
Changelog
To see what changes have been made and by whom, open the changelog in the left bottom corner. Here can you see, for example, who created the request, when that was, and who approved it:
Reset a leave request
Do you want to adjust an approved leave request?
Open the request and click on 'Reset leave request'.
This request's status will now change to 'Pending'.
You can now edit, deny, or approve this request.
