When creating a shift, you can choose a 'Type of shift'.
To create your own shift types while creating a new shift, go to 'Type of shift', then 'Manage shift types'. Alternatively, you also find this in the 'Venue settings' (top right corner) under 'Planning'. We have already given you a few examples to get you started.
โ
In this window you can manage the different shift types.
Name: Give your new shift type a name. For example 'Trial', then click 'Save' to add.
Emoji: You can add an emoji to each shift type. So you can easily recognise the type of shift in the schedule.
Type active: if you'd like to use the shift type, you need to activate it.
Hide end time: Not sure exactly when the shift will end? Use this option. The team member won't see their end time. You'll see the estimated end time for this shift.
Show phone button: Useful when someone is on standby for a shift. With just one click, you can call the team member and ask them to come in to work.
Make sure their phone number is known in Eitje.
Delete: You can also easily delete a shift type by clicking the 'Delete' button.
โ ๏ธ Note: These shift types are used for all locations in your organisation. You cannot create different shift types for different venues: they are all shared.
The shift type is displayed in the schedule with its name and the matching emoji. If it does not show, check the 'Show' button in the top right corner of the planning. Now a shift should look like this:
