Profile and personal settings

This article covers the profile settings.

There are two ways to navigate to your profile settings:

  1. In the menu in the top right corner, choose 'Personal settings'.

  2. Navigate to 'Team', then 'My profile'. Click 'Edit'.

If an Admin or Manager opens any team member's profile, they can click 'Edit' to view and change information.


Profile information

In your own profile you can find the following details that can be added or changed. Admins and Manager can also make changes in any profile.

  • First and last name: as shown e.g. on the planning.

  • Email address: this is used to log in.

  • Profile picture

  • Phone number

  • ICE: this is a contact number in case of emergency, e.g. a friend, family member or partner.

  • Date of birth

Admins and Managers will see some extra fields here:

  • Active since (when the profile was added to Eitje, or change to the first start date of employment).

  • Labour costs per hour (enter the exact labour costs per hour, to see the cost of a shift. Leave blank in case you work with a conversion factor).

  • National ID number (e.g. BSN in the Netherlands, RRN in Belgium, DNI in Spain, etc.)


Address

You can enter or edit your home address. An Admin or Manager can also do this for all team members.

Do you have an active HR integration? Upon the first synchronisation the address will be completed, coming from your HR system. After that it will not be updated so any changes need to be made here.

Only Admins and Managers have access to this section.

For any extra information.

External ID

The external ID can be completed either by your, or directly through a software integration. With some HR integrations, a separate field will be added with the ID number from the HR system.

IBAN

If the bank account number (IBAN) is needed in Eitje, it can be added here.

Never clock out automatically

In case you are using the clocking system, you can decide for each profile to opt out of the option to be clocked out automatically. What that means, you can find out here.


Language

You can use Eitje either in English or in Dutch. This can be set only for your own profile, not for others.


Change password

In case you want to change your password, you can do it here. This can only be done for your own profile, not for others.

โš ๏ธ Note: The password is case sensitive. Keep this in mind when resetting the password.

This option only works when currently logged in. In case you're logged out and you do not remember you password, click 'forgot password' (web), or 'Problems?' in the app.

Notifications

In this section, you can indicate which emails or notifications you would like to enable.

  • Emails about new shifts (if you are not an Admin or Manager, this is your only option for emails).

  • Emails about expiring contracts (this would be on top of the existing notifications in the top right in Eitje).

  • Emails about upcoming birthdays (this would be on top of the existing notifications in the top right in Eitje).

  • Enable browser notifications. In addition to email notifications, Eitje can also show notifications directly in your browser - if your browser settings allow it.

  • For push notifications from the Eitje app, please check the settings within the app.


Sync calendar

Would you like to see your shifts in your personal calendar? Then you can sync your calendar with your schedule in Eitje. This is only possible for your own shifts, not for shifts of other team member or the entire team.
