πŸ†• Guide: Team member - Pick up open shifts

You can help your manager by picking up open shifts, and make more hours.

What is an open shift?

If your employer uses this feature, you have the option to pick up 'open shifts'. An open shift is a shift that's been scheduled without team member, so it's available for you or a teammate that wants to work those hours. You'd have to meet the following requirements:

  • You need to be part of the team the shift is scheduled for.

  • You are not scheduled to work during those hours yet.

You will receive a push notification if this is set up by your employer.

Pick up an open shift

You can only pick up open shifts using the app. If you do not receive push notifications for it, you can find them in two places:

  1. Go to the menu in the bottom right corner and scroll to 'Pick up shift'. If any open shifts have been scheduled, you'd find them here. Tap to open the shift you want to work (see image below).

  2. Go to 'Shifts' in the bottom left of the app (clock icon). Use the 'Schedule' button and select the right day. If there are any open shifts available that day, they will appear with a 'Pick up' option (see image).
