โ ๏ธ This guide applies to the new Eitje app, released in November 2025. Looking for the guide to the previous version of the app? Click here.
You can submit your availability to let your employer know when you can work. There are three options:
Green: Available all day
Red: Unavailable all day
Orange: Unavailable at specific times
You can also enter preferred number of shifts (days) in that week. For example, if you're available all 7 days but donโt want to work more than 4, this is how you can indicate that preference.
Submit availability (app)
Go to planning in the bottom left corner of the app (clock icon).
Go to 'Availability'.
At the top of the screen, select the week.
'Preferred number of days': Here you can indicate the number of days you wish to work that week.
Tap the day to change the availability status.
Add a note.
โNote: Adding a note when changing the status to 'Unavailable' may be mandatory, depending on your employerโs settings.Save, and go to the next day.
โ ๏ธ Note: If a lock icon appears next to the date, it means the day has been locked by your manager and you can no longer change your availability.
Availability template (app)
Is your availability more or less the same each week? In that case, you can use an 'availability template':
Go to the planning section (clock icon, bottom left corner).
Open 'Availability'.
Tap the button 'View template'.
First, indicate the preferred number of days you wish to work per week (not mandatory).
Go through each day to set your standard availability. Add an explanation if you wish, and save.
When done, tap 'Back to availability' and select the week you want to submit your availability for.
Tap 'Load template'.
You might be asked if you want to override existing availability, if anything was submitted before.
Submit availability in the web version
Log in using a browser. Navigate to 'Team' and go to 'My profile'. In the menu on the left you find the option 'Availability'.
You find the following options here:
First, select the week.
At the top, you find the option to indicate the preferred number of working days for that week.
You can now change your availability day by day.
If the day looks grey, it means the day has been locked by your manager and you can no longer change your availability.
Also at the top, you find the template you can use in case your availability is often the same. This allows you to enter your availability much quicker.
